i have a query that i have a mutual welfare society working for welfare for the people of a bulding.
i want to know whether the inocme is exempted or not
also quote the relevant section

14 July 2008 Under the club and Association service the notification has specified the exemption limit for Residential welfare society subject to certain conditions and if the amount of contribution is not exceeding rupees three thousand per month per member, then it is not liable to service tax. The notific- 8/2007 dated 01.03.2007
