Need a help on understanding the procedures for importing products from China. Are there any registrations to be done with any Government departments?
Also we are looking at importing initially USB Sticks , Anti Slip Mats (one that is kept on car dashboards to prevent things from slipping) and solar chargers for charging mobiles and also Chinese mobile phones . Can an expert help me out with the Import Duty rate , the Customs Duty , Countervailing duty or other charges applicable on the above articles.

Hi Unni.. The first and foremost registration which you should start with is Import Export Code to be obtained from the Director General of Foreign Trade.
