29 May 2013 Please clarify the following query:

There is a Company dealing in chemicals.It has already taken the import export code, now the Company has to import the goods.Whether any prior approval is required for this?

Whether any post intimation is to be given to RBI or any other authority?

30 May 2013 you can import the goods

but RBI permission have to take when you make payment in foreign currency . normally
your bnak take permission form RBI.

Please confirm whether import of chemicals falls in Negative list of EXIM Policy for which license is required as Company has to import chemicals in India. If yes what is the procedure?
