30 January 2012 A school wants to import used educational equipment for its laboratory from Malaysia. What would is the procedure for the same ?

Is import of used goods allowed from Malaysia ?
What would be the rate of duty ?

01 February 2012 as per PARA 2.8 (III) OF FOREIGN TRADE POLICY 2009-2014, IMPORTER / EXPORTER ARE EXEMPT FROM IEC CODE IF THEY ARE IMPORTING AND EXPORTING GOODS FOR PERSONAL PURPOSE.

OTHERWISE THEY WILL BE ADMISSIBLE FOR PAID THE CUSTOM DUTY.

IS THIS SCHOOL IS REGISTRED UNDER SOCIETY REGISTRATION ACR. 1860???
