Implication of issue of rental receipt by the landlord

My friends,who are house owners, are worried about the circular no.8/2013 dt 23/10/13 regarding production of rental receipts from owners by the employees.what are implications and complications for house owners as well as employee on issuance of rental receipts by the land lord to employed persons. Pl clarify. Your reply should satify all retired persons,who have no pension income and purely depends on rental income. We wish all experts and other members of CA CLUB INDIA A VERY HAPPY,PEACEFUL AND PROSPEROUS PONGAL.

Rental income should be added to total income for the taxation purposes. However, deductions etc. as per the law may be claimed.
