03 November 2023 Income tax AO ASKED IDENMTIY BOND FOR DELETING DEMAND WHICH I ALREADY PAID BUT PAID IN WRONG MINOR HEAD , INSTEAD OF 400 PAID IN 300 OF AY 2018-19

PL SHARE THE FORMAT OF INDENMITY BOND .

04 November 2023 Indemnity bond not required for this wrong minor head no problem.
Update the challan payment in the income tax portal it will be accepted.

I made this payment online in year 2018.
And demand still showing on Income-tax portal

Pl guide me how to update challan on portal.

Perform the following steps for Responding to the Outstanding Demand.

Logon to ‘e-Filing’ Portal https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/Go to the ‘Pending Actions’ menu and Click ‘Response to Outstanding Demand’Click on 'Submit Response' button.
Select any one option
o Demand is correct.
If option “Demand is correct” is selected, then perform the following step.
o Select further any one option update the challan details and submit.

No such option enable now as you said above.
Demand is correct already selected . challan update option doesnt available. only i can click on pay now button.
