08 January 2022 I WANT TO SIGN UP IN ICEGATE AS IEC AUTHORISED PERSON.. I AM MD OF COMPANY... I HAVE DIGITAL SIGN.

WHEN I SELECT IEC AUTHORISED PERSON FROM USER TYPE... ONE MESSAGE SHOWS
"Enter Icegate Id of IEC Holder" WHAT TO WRITE ON IT..... I HAVE NOT REGISTER BEFORE IT.

HAVE TO REGISTER WITH IEC HOLDER FIRST THEN CAN I APPLY FOR IEC AUTHORISED PERSON OR WHAT ? PLEASE GUIDE

09 July 2024 To register as an IEC Authorized Person on ICEGATE, you need to follow these steps:

1. **Register as IEC Holder:**
- If your company (of which you are the MD) already has an Importer Exporter Code (IEC), you should register the company on ICEGATE as an IEC Holder first.
- You will need to provide your IEC details during the registration process.

2. **Obtain ICEGATE Registration:**
- Once registered as an IEC Holder, obtain your ICEGATE registration details. This will include your ICEGATE ID.

3. **Apply as IEC Authorized Person:**
- After successfully registering as an IEC Holder on ICEGATE, log in to your ICEGATE account.
- Select "IEC Authorized Person" as the user type and proceed with the registration process.
- When prompted to enter the "Icegate Id of IEC Holder," enter the ICEGATE ID of your company (the IEC Holder).
- Complete the registration process by providing necessary details and uploading required documents.

4. **Verification and Approval:**
- ICEGATE may verify the information provided and approve your application as an IEC Authorized Person.
- Ensure all documents are correctly uploaded and comply with ICEGATE requirements to avoid rejections.

5. **Digital Signature Certificate (DSC):**
- Ensure that your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is valid and registered on ICEGATE. This will be used for signing documents and transactions electronically.
