17 November 2014 Am based in New Delhi and intend to start a business wherein I shall be selling the products online in Amazon, snapdeal, etc. The items shall be procured from manufacturers/distributors and sold online on these websites. The online websites want a company name and CST/VAT/TIN registration to register me as a seller.

1. Somebody has advised to start a Sole partnership firm in which legal and regulatory compliances are less and can be started in short time. It also suits me where I shall basically act as trader and I shall register it on my wife’s name. Any inputs/suggestions are welcome.

2. What is the procedure of Sole proprietorship firm registration with Delhi CST/VAT authorities? Please provide step by step procedure. Any reference that can guide me and provide the best possible rates.

17 November 2014 if you want you can opt for VOLUNTARY registration, without crossing the turnover limit of 20lakh.
