I t return received but not processed

05 July 2014 I have filed my I T return online in July, 2013. There is no tax liability. But so far my return has not been processed. The online status shows as ITR received. When I rang customer care, they asked me to wait & I also asked if there was any error, they said, it would not be, as if there is any, then I would have been communicated.

To be noted here, that I have missed to show Rs.7 TDS cut in the return & I had not claimed for it. Though the amount is very nominal, is there possibility of delay due to that? I have showed all details honestly & there is no tax liability, but could it be that my case selected for scrutiny?

05 July 2014 If there is any such instance you would get E-mail explaining any issue discovered

Your TDS Credit will never be the reason for processing of return
.

if TDS Credit mismatch happens also they will raise demand on you, but processing shoukd have been done
.

Better you meet your Jurisdictional AO and ask for processing of ITR if you need to get it processed immedietely

05 July 2014 Thank you for your reply. I am in no hurry to process the return for the previous year, as I do not have any refund due. Please do let me know, is it advisable to meet AO & let him know about this? Or if I just wait will it be Ok?

Also to be noted here that I have also filed the year for the year A.Y.2013 just a week ago [ June,2014 end ]. I have just some investment incomes & no business.
