ONE OF MY CLIENT HAS RECEIVED AN INCOME TAX REFUND CHEQUE FROM BANGLORE WITH WRONG A/C NO. PRINTED ON IT. NOW I WANT TO REPLACE THE CHEQUE WITH RIGHT A/C NO.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO GET ANOTHER REFUND CHEQUE FROM BANGLORE,

FOR MORE DETAILS CALL THE BANAGLORE CPC TOLL NUMBER WHICH U CAN GET FROM INCOME TAX SITE...

03 February 2011 i) Send a letter to CMP, State Bank of India at SBIFAST 31, Mahal Industrial Estate, Off Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400 093, Phone Number: 18004259760, along with the correct bank account number and MICR number to which the refund cheque has to be issued. The refund cheque received may also be returned with this letter.

ii) Send a copy of the above letter to your Assessing Officer.

iii) Retain a copy of the refund cheque and the letter referred above with you.

03 February 2011 Apply to A.O. He can cancel the cheque and enter the correct bank account in your return of income. No use to write to State Bank.
