28 November 2014 I am a teacher , i run a small coaching . In a year i teach 100 to 150 students . I went to ca office , first year he filed ITR 1 and second year he filed ITR 2 . When i asked him why then he told Due to some change in laws ... i am totally confused ... whats going on ... please tell me experts what is right ITR no for me to file next year ... i think my ca is beginner and he is also confused .

28 November 2014 As per explanation 5 to section 139(1), assessee has to required to file His Return of Income only if his/her gross total income exceeds from basic slab rate i.e. before allowing any exemptions under chapter-VIA (LIC/Mediclaim elc.)

If your Gross Total Income Exceeds from basic slab rate (2,00,000/2,50,000/5,00,000) then only you required to file your return of income

29 November 2014 you are doing his own tuition center then you have to file ITR-4 .

if your income is more than Rs. 200000/- in a year then you have to file the income tax return.

29 November 2014 Respected experts :: my ca has filed itr 2 for assesment year 2014-2015 .

Yes i run a tuition center and i crossed my tax limit . my total earning is Rs 230000 .
