I want to create an online grocery website for my city, I want to know that do i need to register for gst, this my first business so there is no turn over

Yes you required to get compulsorily registered as e-commerce operator compulsorily required to get registered in GST..

As per the definitions in Section 2 (44) and 2(45) of the CGST Act, 2017, you will come under the definition of an “electronic commerce operator” and as per Section 24(x) of the CGST Act, 2017 the benefit of threshold exemption is not available to e-commerce operators. Hence you, you being an e-commerce operator, are liable to be registered irrespective of the value of supply made.
