CAN HUF [KARTA] PURCHASE LAND/BUILDING AND HAVE REGISTRY IN THE NAME OF KARTA.

You can register in HUF name since it is the property of HUF not katha.

Yes, but signing authority for the purchase will be KARTA, himself.
Use PAN of HUF while purchasing the property in the name of HUF.
