The Karta of the HUF died in middle of the previous year.How to file the Karta;s return of income.Who will Succed the Karta.

elder son sign the return as karta or wife can be sign as karta.

It's the HUF who will be assessed not that Karta, where the question about Karta's return is Arises (In Individual Capacity) who is going to receive his Properties/Assets by inheritance e.g. Elder Son / Widow as Representative. from the Next Year no need to file IT Return in his Name.
so far as HUF's Return of Income is Concerned the Person Appointed as KARTA after death of Old Karta by all members of undivided HUF will sign the Return of Income. Plz be noted that a minor cannot be KARTA.
