Dear Sir,
Suppose one person is having his own house in the same city where he is working and taken one house on rent for his dependent parent / wife / Children in some other city.
Please reply whether rent paid for rented house is allowed as HRA U/S 10(13A).

Rent paid for a house in a city other than the place of employment is not exempt U/s 10(13A).
