01 March 2012 Dear All,

Our pay slip does not show any HRA. It shows only basic salary there is no bifurcation of allowances such as HRA, my question is can the employees of the company still get exemption of HRA Allowance as per the Income Tax Act.Please answer me as i want to deduct TDS from the employees salary for the f.y. 11-12

01 March 2012 If you are not getting 'house rent allowance' from your employer, you can't claim exemption for the same u/s 10(13A) of the Income tax Act,1961.

01 March 2012 If company has not given any allowance then question of claiming deduction does not arise.
