if employee provide rent slip exceed of Rs. 24000/- pm

19 August 2013 HRA exemption is

1. Actual HRA
2. 50%/40% (in metro 50%) of basic salary plus DA
3. Actual rent paid
4. Rent paid in excess of 10% of Basic salary plus DA

which ever is less

If you have given rent slip of Rs 24,000 pm then PAN of land lord is necessary
