HRA Benefit for Tax Rebate

Mr.X drawing Rs.30000/- Salary. He is paying Rs.16000/- Rent for House. There is no break up of Salary i.e. Basic, HRA, conveyance etc. In this case, He will get HRA Benefit or Not. if Yes, then Pls send calculation for dat.

u/s 10 he cannot get benefit for HRA but he can available benefit u/s 80GG

As per your given data the Deduction is restricted to Rs. 2000 per month.
As the benefit is restriced to least of the following.
Rent paid in excess of 10% of total income.
Rs.2000 per month
25% of total income,whicever is less

From neext year ask the employer to break up the salary in basic, Hra, and allowance.....For current year agree with all...
