hello sir
Iam an individual residing in a rented house.Iam paying rent in cash and i dont have any rent agreemnet with my owner. In this case how can i claim HRA exemption.what proof should i attach to the return.

The evidence of actual payment of rent is only the rent receipt and not the rent agreement. Thus, at present the only documentary evidence required for claiming HRA is rent receipt.

but my owner is not giving any reciept of rent.
