My queries...
my company is giving me salary of 15000/- fixed & HRA Rs. 1000/- total 16000/- my working office is far distance of 70 KM and I am daily travelling from bus...
MY company is saying that you have giving hra instead of travelling allowances.. so do I claim for HRA or otherwise tell me how can I take benefit

Dear friend,
If its your own home then you have not able claim HRA deduction otherwise you can claim deduction.
Instead request company to give as conveyance allowance because of this you can claim deduction of Rs.800 p.m. out of Rs.1000 p.m

Trvelling allowance also for the purpose of offical purpose only exempted.as Mr.Shrikant you can asl Transport allowance it is exempted up to Rs.800/ per month
