In case of a company , for calculation of HRA rental agreement copy to be collectable from employee or only rental receipt is sufficient ?????

in my opinion, only Rent Receipt will serve the purpose

But now a days companies also demands for rent agreement. Its better if you collect it as it will give you extra evidence.

Please clarify any specific provision in the IT Act to collect rental agreement or it is only a optional.
