How to verify tds on salaries

Gud evng all,
Am a article assistent,am doing half year audit of a company but i have doubt regarding verification of Tds on salaries which was already computed by company..so any one please help me in this matter

1)Get paroll register from HR/Accountant
2)Trace out Employees whose estimated total income crosses basic exemption limit,and HRA exceeds 1lakh
3)Verify whether employees declared owner PAN to employer
4)Verify whether employee declared proof of savings
5)verify whether TDS deducted adequately if not advice them to do so
