16 February 2012 Select the cells in which you want the data to be entered from a drop box.

Go to the Data tab and in the Data Tools group, click on Data Validation.

In allow, select list. In the source field, give the reference of the cells where your data is.

Click ok. You are done. The data in the selected cells can only be entered from the drop box.
