24 January 2010 A Indian pvt.ltd company wanted to start a branch company in abroad what is the procedures/formalities.
Is there any prior approval required from the ROC or RBI.

27 January 2010 It all depends on which sector your operate. What is the business of your company, software, IT/ITES ??

For Branches RBI or ROC approval is not needed if you are in IT/ITES sector

For Subsidiary you need to take RBI approval.

14 February 2010 You can open a foreign branch by passing a resolution to that effect. See that funds are transferred in accordance with the FEMA 1999.
