How to revise itr if itr already processed by cpc.

24 July 2014 Sir, I would like to draw your kind attention that is there any chance of filling revised income tax return once it is already processed by CPC. As I have filled my online return for FY 2012-2013 in AY 2013-2014 and no TDS return was asked by me, but later I come to know that I have an option to claim Relief under section 89.
If any possibility exists, please guide me, How? Thanks & waiting for your reply.

25 July 2014 you can still revise the return. intimation under 143(1) doesn't restrict the revision of return.

29 July 2014 but the time limit is 1 year from the end of relevant AY or before completion of the assessment and in some cases intimation referred to u/s 143(1) is deemed to be completion of assessment so itd can argue this

29 July 2014 Dear Tushar,

normally ITD opines that where there is no tax liability, 143(1) is the finality of assessment. But that doesn't restrict assessee to revise the return because legally it would remain an intimation only.

29 July 2014 Thanks experts,
I have filled my revised return under section 139(5) and posted ITRV to CPC. Let us see any intimation received further.
