How to pay service tax online

Can you please explain how to pay service tax online.
Is it possible to pay service tax online the 1st time ? do we need to register online?

19 November 2009 Yes you have to register first online, if existing then department will send mail to you of user id and passwords, if new then you can register by yourself..

you can file the half yearly returns in that as ST-1/3

19 November 2009 i think you are asking to pay service tax online. go to your banker fillup for internet banking he will provide you user name and password. than you can pay you service tax, TDs, Excise etc. online.

if you want to file service tax return online then read by above link.

14 June 2010 You can directly pay your service tax through NSDL site. but ensure that you should have net banking facility
