DEAR EXPERTS,

I AM YATEENDRA AMARNATH PROPRIETOR OF SREEMAAN ASSOCIATES RECOVERY AGENCY

1 . LAST YEAR MY ANNUAL INCOME 9.28 LACKS 2010-2011 NOT PAID SERVICE TAX BECAUSE 10LAKS BELOW.

2 . 2011-2012 ANNUAL INCOME 18 LACKS (APPROX)HOW TO PAY SERVICE TAX.

3. ONE DOUBT ANNUAL INCOME 18 LACKS SERVICE TAX PAID 18 LACKS OR 10 LACKS ABOVE 8 LACKS PAY SERVICE TAX

PLS CLEAR THE DOUBTS

02 November 2011 once ur gross receipts exceed 10 lakh or expected to exceed 10 lakh u have to pay service tax on full amount. in ur case, u r expecting it to exceed 18 lakh so u will have to pay ST on 18 lakh and not only on 10 lakh.

02 November 2011 1. Year 2010-11 no need to pay ,if not collected, since below threshold limit.
2. Year 2011-12 if tax is not collected on 18 lakhs, then pay tax in excess of Rs. 10 lakhs only.

Please see notification 6/2005 and 8/2008 respectively.
