This discussion addresses how to correctly record a journal entry for Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on accrued interest within a cooperative society. The user needs to account for TDS deducted on interest that cannot be directly recognised as income. A suggested entry involves crediting interest paid, debiting TDS deducted, and debiting the bank for the net amount.
