How to generate duplicate pasword

30 October 2013 hi friends its very urgent,,

please guide me to generate duplicate password for efiling the income tax return,,, i do not know the secret question neither have DSC nor filed ereturn earlier...also i do not have the registered email id.

Earlier some accountant have filed the return and only he knows all the above details,,my client could not find the accountant,..

please is there any other way to file e return or generate duplicate password...
pleae reply its urgent

30 October 2013 You need to call income tax department helpline. They have stopped giving duplicate password through validate@incometaxindia.gov.in option.

So call them on 1800 4250 0025

30 October 2013 You dont need password to file income tax return

yes. i am correct ,you dont need password to file income tax retirm
.

file your income tax return in taxcloudindia.com
.
and then with the ITRV generated reset your password for future use

30 October 2013 But i cannot say how long this will works users shuould file their returns asap

CBDT stopped sending passwords to alternate email id because of security reasons
.
.
BUT why CBDT allowed to file income tax returns with out any password...?
.
is CBDT aware of this...if yes, why it allowed to access efiling portal with out any password?how far it is safe?
.
.
WILL BE A BIG QUESTION for which WHICH CBDT maynot have any answer?

30 October 2013 ganesh ji i tried in tax cloud but their software is not up to date . my client resides in uttarakhand for which due date is extended upto 31/10/2013 but the tax cloud adds inerest for the period from july upto october
