Why do you need a calculator for this? Its just 1% per month from April '07 (or Apr '06 for belated returns) to the month of filing the return!

Say a1= sum of default tax
say a2= months (for which interest is to be levied)
interest will be calculated as follows_
=rounddown(a1,-2)*a2*1%
say a2= months (for which interest is to be levied)
interest will be calculated as follows_
=rounddown(a1,-2)*a2*1%
