How to file online vat return ...
I have vat number on date . 05/03/2012
and have also CST Number..

Is there any software Required??

30 April 2012 Go to the www.mahavat.gov.in if you are a dealer registered under Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act. Download -- Form -- Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act.
Download the form as applicable to you.
Fill up the relevant Details.
Validate the return and create xml file.
You can login as dealer using your login id and password and upload the xml file created by you.
For the last return ending on 31 march, 2012.
Also do the same for Annexures.
Dealer is also compulsorily required to fill up the relevant annexures (Like J1/J2, C,D,G,H,I, ) before uploading of Return.
If any clarification required ask specifically. Also refer trade Circular No.3T of 2012.

If this is your first return then dont forget to mark yes in the column of first return.
