Dear All I am salarised person & doing job in Broking Company. My salary is above exemption Limit. I want to Know whether I am eligible for Deduction for Payment of Principal amount under section 80c. Kindly Note that SBI has wrote in his Provisional Certificate word Housing Loan OD Maxgain.

yes you are eligible for 80C deduction on principal repayment...nomenclature of the account makes no difference
