18 March 2008 Can House rent paid in cash allowed u/s 10(13A). If it had Cash payment receipt.

18 March 2008 THERE IS NO BAR AS FAR AS IND. ARE CONCERNED BECAUSE THERE IS NO DISALLOWANCE FOR THEM.
IF IT IS COMPANY , THEN SEC 40 A(3) IS APPLICABLE. AS LONG AS THE JUSTIFICATION IS THERE AND THERE IS NO VIOLATION OF SEC 40 A(3),THERE IS NO ISSUE .

20 March 2008 no requirement that hra should be paid in cheque to get allowed.it is allowable even it is paid in cash.
