20 February 2012 I PURCHASE HOUSE FOR RS 9000000/- FOR PAYMENT OF RS 90 LAKHS I AND MY WIFE HAS CONTRIBUED 20LAKS EACH AND TAKEN LOAN OF RS 50 LAKHS FROM BANK. NOW I AM PAYING HOU LAON INSTALLMENT FROM MY ACCOUNT. MY WIFE HAS NOT PAID ANY INSTALLMENT. TOTAL INTEREST PAID TO HOU LOAN IS RS 400000/- CASH MY WIFE CLAIM 50% OF TOTAL INTEREST WITH OUT PAYING ANY INSTALLMENT. PLEASE GUIDE IN THIS MATTER

Do you want to ask if your wife can claim deduction for payment of interest, even though she has not repaid any loan ?

Or you have repaid the installments in cash and want to show that they are repaid by your wife ?
