I have a house property and i get a rental income of 25lakhs from that property per annum. The house property is let out for residential purpose. Is the rental income so earned by me is liable to service tax?

If the property is exclusively used for residential purposes it is exempt from service tax.

Yes, service by way of renting of residential dwellings for use as residence, is in clause (m)of the negative list under section 66D
