20 April 2017 I have a query I am a fresher and wanted to apply for COP but right now i m working as an employee in a Reputed CA firm. So can i hold COP beside working in a CA firm...?? Thanks in advance

20 April 2017 If you are working in CA firm then you can hold COP, your status of COP is Part time COP. After obtaining COP we have to intimate institute about firm in which we are working so after obtaining COP make an application regarding joining as paid assistant on letter head of your firm and submit same in institute.

20 April 2017 Part time COP haven't much benefits, You can only provide consultancy to clients but you can not perform Audits or attest function. Alternatively, You can not sign as a Chartered Accountant on the reports..
