can tax liability be carried forward or brought down.eg ay2011-12 tax is 500000 and ay2012-13 is 100000.he paid 500000 for ay2012-13, instead it is for ay 2011-12(mistake in challan prepartion inregarding AY).

Contact the assessing officer of proper jurisdiction. He/She has been given the RIGHTS to edit the challan in the computer system.
