what kind of work should be given to a new article ??

Hi,
It totally depends on the policy and work of the CA Firm. For example in case of Audit time new articles usually placed in audit department. So we can not fixed it.
In case you join between april to sept. then it is customary to put you in Audit. So initially it is advisable to go with the strategy of firm. This will also help you to settle down.
