we are manufacturer company in project stage.

we are using inward transporation but not registered with service tax.

so we have to deposit GTA on it.

Is there any penalty for that?

20 August 2012 if the company is registered then yes you are liable to get registered and pay the same.

20 August 2012 Please get the company registered for Service Tax.
You are required to pay ST on GTA service.
