21 September 2017 i have submitted gstr3B & paid tax amount but not filed 3B .am i liable for interest & penalty & if liable then what is the rate for interest & penalty

21 September 2017 Interest on late Deposit @ 18% calculated from Due Date of payment to Actual Date of Payment.

Section 47 of the Central Goods & Service Tax Act 2017 provides for late filing fees of Rs 100 per day subject to maximum of Rs 5000/-.

21 September 2017 Vide Notification No.28 /2017 – Central Tax dated 01st September, 2017 have waived the late fee payable under section 47 of the said Act, for all registered persons who failed to furnish the return in FORM GSTR-3B for the month of July 2017 by the due date. No such relief is announced till date for the GSTR3B of Aug 2017.

21 September 2017 I think One can not submit gstr3b if there is any tax due. You have to pay tax first and only then portal will set off liability. Only then you will be able to submit the return. So interest is not applicable. As regards late fee Mr Sanjay is right. there has not been any announcement for waiver of late fee for Aug 2017 gstr 3b return
