This discussion explores the possibility of extending the due dates for March GST returns, typically the 10th for GSTR-1 and 20th for GSTR-3B. The argument is made that the end of the financial year presents unique challenges with year-end checks, purchase/sales reconciliation, and credit/debit notes, making an extension beneficial for taxpayers. While some note that amendments are possible until November, others highlight the confusion and headache such processes can cause, suggesting a need for more lenient due dates for the final month of the year.

Dear All, in regular course the Gst returns due date is Gstr1 10th & 3B is 20th. I think the Govt should extend the due dates of Gst returns for March as its the last month of the year and there are so many things to be checked like purchases & Sales, DN/CN for entire year which requires a lot of time. Also if there is any error or missed invoices u dont even have facility to revise d same. Just as TDS payment & return date of march is extended for the convenience of Tax payers gst due dates has to be extended.

Dear sir, But amendment and additions is unnecessary creating headache and confusion. That's y I don't expects any extension but the the due date has to be more than the rest of the months of the year. If i receive a purchase bill late can i change the Gstr3b once filed. Its simple as that, Y it needs to be Hard n Fast even for the last month of the year??
