Gst registration for govt accommodation

19 January 2025 I am a crafter - i make things to sell at local fairs. As of now i earn less than 1lac per annum so i want to start an online store. My husband is in the government n transferrable job and we live in a government house. I have 2 questions
1.Can i use the address of our govt accommodation for gst?
2. If i give my permanent address in another city (where now my in laws live), can that be used for gst registeration. In short, gst in city A n shipping products from city B, both different states also

20 January 2025 1. As you are not owner or tenant of the house where you live presently, it will be difficult to get registration at the said address.
2. That is one of the option, if you plan to deliver goods from that address.
3. Better would be get a small office or shop rented out near your present address and get it registered for GST, even though you can deliver goods from your house.
