26 December 2024 Sir, my query is what is the GST Rate for Work Contractor for Government Company before 17.07.2021. Is it 12% or 18%.

26 December 2024 GST council in its 47th Council meeting has recommended for rate increase to 18% for all Government works which was followed by issuance of Notification No. 03/2022-C.T (R) dated 13.07.2022.
Before the date the rates were 12% for most of Governmental works contract.

26 December 2024 Present work contract rates are 18%.
