28 June 2017 I want to get myself registered under gst.The electricity bill of my shop is in the name of my father who is no more. What proof I need to give for place of business?? Can I provide elec bill or do I need to make rent deed. rent deed me kya prop owner k nam me mere father ka naam aayga??

28 June 2017 Yes. You can provide the Electricity bill as your place of business and also you can make rent deed

28 June 2017 That means electricity bill which is in the name of father is a valid proof of place of address. But when I asked this query by calling gst helpline desk. They said electricity bill must be in your name only. Please guide me...

you give/upload the following documents at registration.,

Proprietorship Firm:
Place of Business : Property Tax Receipt, Electricity Receipt and Card, Rental Deed
Business Person :
ID Proof : Voter Id, DL, AADHAAR,
ADD Proof : Ration Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Bank Pass book, DL and Etc.,

Your name will be mentioned in Your ID Proof and ADDRESS Proof not on Principal Place of Business except Rental Deed. If the Business place is Your father's name his name is mentioned above Place of Business list...

28 June 2017 If I provide rent deed then what is to be mentioned in nature of place of business...whether own or something else??
