Gst migration error

31 March 2017 Hi, I am logging into gst website for migration of service tax to GST. However it shows following error: "Your RC under is cancelled, therefore, your Provisional ID stands cancelled. Hence you are not permitted to migrate under GST" What does this mean? Please advice. Regards

31 March 2017 It means you are not registered under any of the existing acts and hence can't migrate to GST.

31 March 2017 Sir,
thankyou for the reply. But my assesse code status is still showing "ACTIVE" . If i have not canceled my registration myself, how did it get canceled on its own ? I had paid service tax and also filed return successfully in October 2016. Please reply.

31 March 2017 How do i correct this ? Do i have to register ST1 again for the same premise ? Is that possible ? Will i get a new provisional ID and then try GST migration? Thankyou.

31 March 2017 As Seetharaman Sir said contact the Service Tax Department to enquire as to what happened.
