02 August 2017 if i have not provided my gst no to my service provider can i take a input for the gst( i am a registered dealer) eg. we have purchased food from a abc hotel as a staff welfare i not provided my gstin in this case can i claim input tax...he ll be not my regular supplier

02 August 2017 Yes you can.... But credit will available only if abc hotel confirms it.

02 August 2017 ok...i can tak input while submitting returns but subject to confirmation of abc hotel..if hotel not confirmed i cant tak input right??

02 August 2017 You have to fill details of bill in GSTR-2. Then ITC available to you on provisional basis without confirmation from ABC. If he confirms then no further procedure done by GST, but if he not then GST will check out later on such transaction & then reverse credit if wrongly availed. So no need to worry if you have invoice showing GST.
