GST Audit by Indian CA abroad for 1.5 years

28 December 2019 Respected Sir/ Madam,
My query is as follows: CA is out of India for almost 1.5 years now.His practice is in India. Can he conduct GST Audit of Indian Companies? Data can be mailed to him. GST is all online. Is it Possible or out of law?

29 December 2019 GST audit can be performing by a chartered accountant or a cost accountant. Member having a certificate of practice (COP) or a firm of chartered accountants can take up the GST Audit.

No such restrictions has been imposed in GST Act .

No where in the Act it says that a practicing CA , registered as member in India staying abroad or NRI CA can not do GST Audit
