Gst and stamp duty on residential property

19 October 2018 As a buyer, do we need to pay GST while buying property and pay stamp duty while registration on total sale value including GST component?
Assume example:

Price of flat- 50 lacs
GST: 6 lacs
Total consideration: 56 lacs
Stamp duty to be paid on 50 lacs or 56 lacs?

19 October 2018 Stamp duty is on Purchase of Property and not on the payment of GST.
on that logic it should be on Rs. 50 Lacs only.

19 October 2018 Is there clear circular on this?

19 October 2018 Sir, Corresponding state stamp act should be referred

19 October 2021 Stamp duty is paid on agreement value. & agreement value for the property is without GST. Though GST is charged on behalf of Government, it is not included in the value of the property.
