I have certain amount of gratuity in my ctc. So when wil i receive it and what if i leave the job in 1 year.

U are eligible to receive gratuity after 5 years of continuous service. In simple words u can claim ur accumulated gratuity funds after 5 years of continuous service(if u r in need of money), otherwise Gratuity is disbursed at the time of retirement from the company. If u'll resign before 5 years u can't claim the gratuity amount from the company. An employee passes away or suffers disability due to illness or accident, can claim(or his legal heir) gratuity before completion of 5 years.
