03 February 2009 I am working with an org. and they are deducting 8000 p.a Gratuity from CTC. I need to know whether i will get this money bck if i leave this org. before 5 years or whether this money will be transferred to my next employer or not.

03 February 2009 First of all you should have brek up of that deduction. Then based on type of deduction the refundability or claim or transfer has to be known. Kinldy post the break up then i can inform you.

08 February 2009 Gratuity is always 4.81 % of Pay+DA. The pecentage of 4.81 is arrived as follows:

Rs 100 x 15/26 Days / 12
